Tempered (toughened) glass is heat-treated to be several times stronger than ordinary glass, and if it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively blunt pieces rather than sharp shards. It's the standard for most shower screens. Laminated glass adds a plastic interlayer between two glass sheets, so if it breaks, the pieces stay bonded to the interlayer instead of falling apart — offering extra peace of mind, at a higher price. Yes — every model in our online calculator lets you adjust width and height beyond the standard size. Oversized dimensions are charged based on the extra glass area; undersized openings are still billed at the standard price. Use the calculator to get an instant estimate for your exact measurements.

Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom of the opening (walls are rarely perfectly straight), and the height at both ends. Use the smallest width and the largest height as your working numbers when getting a quote. Our measuring guide walks through this step by step.

This depends on the model and panel size — larger sliding panels typically use 8mm glass for extra rigidity, while smaller or triple-track configurations may use 4-6mm. Each model page lists its standard thickness, and heavier glass options are available where applicable.

Prices vary by model, size, glass type and finish — our range starts from a few hundred dollars for simple fixed panels up to a few thousand for larger corner enclosures with premium glass and hardware.
